Students in the nationally accredited School of Journalism choose from four
areas: print, broadcast news, multi-media and photojournalism. In each area,
students pursue a mix of theory and practice courses. They do their work in one
of the nation's best-equipped facilities. All students learn to write and edit
stories electronically, using modern computer techniques. Many journalism
students also work on The
Daily Texan, recognized as one of the top student newspapers in the nation.
Graduates of the department have an excellent employment record nationally.
